A Pro Shop Like No Other

The six rooms of our 1864 Italianate Victorian's first-floor warmly welcomed Oakland Hills' visitors as both pro shop and lounge. The historical accounts of her days as an Underground Railroad stop as well as a mid-Michigan safe house for Al Capone and gang entertained and fascinated those who took the "Ten-Minute Tour". Folks came for the golf but the unique surroundings and relaxed atmosphere gave them one more reason to return again and again to soak in the fun. A deep blue sunny sky, the dark emerald of "The best greens anywhere", rich reds of the barns and the bold terracotta of a magnificent house painted the shades of a perfect day at Oakland.
